If it is known that at least 23 students were eligible for a Symposium on Chemistry, then the minimum qualifying marks in Chemistry for eligibility to Symposium would lie in the range?

Explanation:
Since 66 students get 20 and above marks in Chemistry and out of these 21 students get 30 and above marks, therefore to select top 35 students in Chemistry, the qualifying marks should lie in the range 20-30.

40% = 40/100 * 50 = 20.
Less than 40 means 73,
So, 100 -73 = 27.

If at least 23 students are to be selected, at most all the students (all 100 of them) can be selected. Use this logic: I ask you to buy me at least three bananas. You get to the store and see ten of them. Buying all ten of them is not wrong, is it? Hence, my request is still fulfilled.
Now, for all 100 students to be selected, their marks must all fall between the 0 and Above category. Therefore, the lowest mark or the minimum cut-off mark for selection must lie within the 0–10 range.
