F.M. in Physics 50.
So, 60% In physics = 30 marks.
30 & above students = 32.
40 & above students = 9 (these 9 students already included in 30 & above group).
So, the answer is 32.
So, 60% In physics = 30 marks.
30 & above students = 32.
40 & above students = 9 (these 9 students already included in 30 & above group).
So, the answer is 32.

@Megha.
There they mentioned indirectly that 30 and above mean that the marks are included from 30 to 50 I think you understood there exists difference between 30-40 and 30 and above.

I think even the person who scored 40 above are to be taken into consideration as the question has not mentioned that even 40+ students are included in 30+ students.

Answer is correct, because they said at least 60%; if we consider 40 mark column then they have 80%;and if that of 30 column is 60% (at least) ;Hence correct.

Actually, those students who got 30 and above (including those 9stds scoring above 40) are in 60 and above,
See;
30/50 * 100 = 60%
The table shows 32.
See;
30/50 * 100 = 60%
The table shows 32.

I also agree with 41.
Because at least meant 60 %. Thats mean we should include also 40 and above. If I'm wrong, please correct me.

Question is asked that at-least 60% is needed for pursuing higher studies. So only least percentage i.e. 30% should be considered.

As minimum qualify marks is 30 so we can take 30 and above as well 40 and above. Why is taken only 30 and above? Please reply.

Look as the accumulative frequency, as a total number of students is 100. So it adds one over the other then the answer is 32.
