Required ratio
 = (83 + 108 + 74 + 88 + 98) (98 + 112 + 101 + 133 + 142)
 = 451 586
 = 1 1.3
 = 10 . 13

How to make calculations easy, the nearest number of 451 is 450 and the nearest 586 is 600.
So here we can divide 450/600=3/4 and we know that 3/4 is 0.75,
Here only 10/13 gives 0.76.

Simple dont be complicate, take calc in phone put 451/586= 0.769 keep this value and divide all the options given;

Take option a) 4:7 means 4/7=0.571.
Option b) 10:13 means 10/13=0.769 this is the value we got.
So option B is correct.

This is called reverse Engineering

The total expenditure of all tax given : total of Fuel & transport.
= (83 + 108 + 74 + 88 + 98) : ( 98 + 112 + 101 + 133 + 142),
= 451 : 586.
= 451/586.
= 0.76.

As only 10/13 gives 0.76 (from all options) so the answer is 10:13.
