Study the following graph carefully and answer the questions given below:
Distribution of candidates who were enrolled for MBA entrance exam and the candidates (out of those enrolled) who passed the exam in different institutes:

9*5700/8*8550 simplification for this.
Step 1: 9% of 5700 = (10%-1%) of 5700 it becomes (10% of 5700-1% of 5700).
= 570-57 = 513.
Step 2: 8% of 8550 = (10%-2%) of 8550.
It becomes (10% of 8550 - 2% of 8550).
= 855+171 (i.e 41% of 8550 is 85.5. So 2% of 2500 is 85.5+85.5 = 171.0).
Now last step is 513/684 = 0.75 (i.e 684) 51300 (0.75).
It becomes 51300.
Final step 0.75*100 = 75%.
Step 1: 9% of 5700 = (10%-1%) of 5700 it becomes (10% of 5700-1% of 5700).
= 570-57 = 513.
Step 2: 8% of 8550 = (10%-2%) of 8550.
It becomes (10% of 8550 - 2% of 8550).
= 855+171 (i.e 41% of 8550 is 85.5. So 2% of 2500 is 85.5+85.5 = 171.0).
Now last step is 513/684 = 0.75 (i.e 684) 51300 (0.75).
It becomes 51300.
Final step 0.75*100 = 75%.

Sorry since % is given, we cant take 360. Divide it by 100 i.e.
Step 1: 9/100 x 5700 = 513.
Step 2: 8/100 x 8550 = 684.
Step 3: Percentage => 513/684 x 100 = 75%.
If the values were in degree instead of %, divide them by 360 as shown before.

Simple method. You get 57/76 which is further indivisible by single no. So now calculate as(5+7)/(7+6) which gives,
12/13 repeat one more time (1+2)/(1+3) equals 3/4 i.e 75%.
