Data Interpretation - Bar Charts - Discussion
The following chart represents the number of students who passed the CAT exam or the XAT exam or the CET exam or None of these exams. (Assume that there are no students who passed more than one exam.)
Number of students who qualified CAT/XAT/CET Exams
In terms of the percentage of students who cleared
For year 2000,
Number of students who qualified(or passed) CAT/XAT/CET Exams = 140,
Total number of students passed and none = 170,
% = (140/170) * 100.
Hope this helps!
So 140/170 * 100.
Because we want to see % of students qualified in the exam hence 170, 180, 200 was considered.
In the year 2000 total no.of students appeared for the exam was 170. Out of those 140 cleared the exam. Hence the percentage will be 140/170*100.
Similarly calculate the percentages for the remaining two years.
