Uttar Pradesh increased the monthly honorarium of Anganwadi workers and helpers to improve their financial security. The honorarium for Anganwadi workers was raised from ₹8,000 to ₹12,000, while helpers will receive ₹6,000 instead of ₹4,000. The state also introduced a cashless health insurance scheme providing coverage of up to ₹5 lakh annually for workers, helpers, and their families. In addition, 1.28 lakh smartphones are being distributed to digitise Anganwadi centres and support real-time monitoring. The government also increased the saree allowance and is developing structured buildings for more than 70,000 Anganwadi centres.

Assam signed Memorandums of Understanding with six organisations to integrate Artificial Intelligence and technology into its school education system. The partnerships were signed between Samagra Shiksha Assam and various organisations to develop a learner-centric education ecosystem. IIT Madras and Bodhan AI are jointly implementing a programme to build AI proficiency among 1 lakh teachers of Grades 6 to 12, with completion targeted for May 2027. Google is also collaborating to provide AI-powered educational tools and digital skills training. Other initiatives focus on AI-enabled assessment and personalised learning in foundational literacy and numeracy.

Karnataka approved the Karnataka Aerospace Policy 2026-31 to promote investment in aerospace technology and manufacturing across the state. The policy provides subsidy assistance to aerospace-related ventures in focus and non-focus areas and aims to strengthen Karnataka’s position as a major aerospace manufacturing destination. The Cabinet also approved incentives for industries investing in backward and most backward taluks, covering sectors such as aerospace, defence, automobiles, electric vehicles, electronics and semiconductors. Other measures include the Shramika Nivas scheme for industrial workers, employment-based incentives, and improvements to taluk hospitals. The policy forms part of Karnataka’s broader strategy to attract industries, create employment and reduce regional imbalances.

Meghalaya was the state visited by Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan on September 7, 2026, for the inauguration and foundation-laying of several development projects. The projects had a combined investment of ₹1,010.95 crore and covered water supply, power infrastructure, road connectivity and healthcare. A major project was Phase II of the New Shillong Water Supply Scheme, allocated ₹850.58 crore under the Urban Challenge Fund. Other initiatives included a 132/33 KV substation at Mawkhanu, two road projects under NESIDS, a Maternity and Children’s Hospital at Nongstoin, and a 30-bed AYUSH facility at Shillong Civil Hospital.
