Telangana Formation Day is observed annually on June 2 to mark the creation of Telangana as a separate state in 2014. Formed through the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014, Telangana became the 29th state of India after a prolonged statehood movement that sought greater regional identity, equitable development, and self-governance. The movement involved participation from students, farmers, employees, intellectuals, and political leaders over several decades. The day honours the contributions and sacrifices of those who supported the cause of statehood. Celebrations across the state include flag-hoisting ceremonies, tributes to martyrs, cultural programs, public meetings, awards, and exhibitions showcasing Telangana’s rich heritage and identity.

Andhra Pradesh partnered with SIDBI to establish a dedicated angel fund aimed at supporting deep-tech and emerging technology startups. The initiative is being implemented through the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub (RTIH), which will provide funding, resources, and growth opportunities to innovative ventures. The fund focuses on sectors such as artificial intelligence, quantum technologies, electronics manufacturing, advanced manufacturing, and clean energy. Designed as a seed fund, it seeks to help startups access capital and real-world applications while enabling them to scale globally. The initiative also aligns with Andhra Pradesh’s broader economic and innovation-driven development strategy.

Operation Chakravyuh was launched by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) on May 30, 2026, to combat organised drug trafficking networks in Kerala. The operation involved coordinated actions across Kochi, Malappuram, and Thiruvananthapuram, leading to the seizure of 24 kg of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, including Methaqualone, Methamphetamine, and Hashish oil. Authorities apprehended five individuals under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985. The operation highlighted various smuggling methods such as airport passenger baggage, courier consignments, and export cargo, demonstrating the government's continued efforts to strengthen anti-drug enforcement and curb illicit trafficking activities.

Tripura launched the ₹236 crore Mission Queen Pineapple on May 27, 2026, in collaboration with the Union Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (MDoNER). The initiative is designed as a three-year roadmap from FY2026 to FY2028 to strengthen the production, processing, and marketing of the GI-tagged Queen Pineapple, which is one of the state’s key horticultural products. The project includes establishing a hub near Agartala airport and multiple spoke collection centers across districts, along with reviving the Nalkata Pineapple Processing Unit through a Viability Gap Funding model. It also promotes bio-economy initiatives such as bromelain extraction, pineapple leaf fiber processing, and GI-branded value-added products to boost farmer income and rural development.

Telangana inaugurated a ₹3 crore solar power plant managed entirely by women Self-Help Groups (SHGs) under the Indira Mahila Shakti scheme on May 27, 2026. The project is located in Venkatapuram village in Errupalem mandal of Madhira constituency in Khammam district. It represents a major step in empowering women economically by involving SHGs in renewable energy production and management. The plant operates under Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with DISCOMs, ensuring a guaranteed buyback of electricity and steady income generation. It is expected to earn daily revenue between ₹14,000 and ₹15,000. The initiative reflects Telangana’s broader push toward renewable energy adoption and women-led economic development.
