Gujarat is the state where the 5th cohort of the HerSTART initiative was launched by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel to strengthen women entrepreneurship and innovation-driven growth. The programme supports women-led startups by providing mentoring, funding opportunities, and connections to investor networks. Selected entrepreneurs also receive assistance such as co-working spaces, legal and intellectual property advisory, branding support, and market linkages. Along with the launch of the cohort, a modern Research Park was inaugurated to promote collaboration between academia and industry. The initiative focuses on sectors including technology, health-tech, agri-tech, sustainability, and social enterprises to accelerate the growth of scalable women-led ventures.

Telangana introduced a ₹12.66 crore Challenge Fund to promote rural entrepreneurship, particularly among women and youth at the grassroots level. The initiative is implemented through the Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty (SERP) in collaboration with TBIS BITS Pilani Hyderabad, T-Hub, and WE Hub, with support from the Ministry of Rural Development. It aims to transition about 65 lakh Self-Help Group (SHG) women from microfinance participation to formal entrepreneurship and scalable ventures. Around 300 selected entrepreneurs will receive mentoring, enterprise diagnostics, branding support, market access, and help in accessing finance. The programme will be implemented across all 33 districts through a decentralised outreach model.

The ‘HANUMAN’ project (Healing and Nurturing Units for Monitoring, Aid and Nursing of Wildlife) was launched in Andhra Pradesh on March 3, 2026, by Deputy Chief Minister and Forest and Environment Minister Pawan Kalyan. The initiative aims to address the growing issue of human–wildlife conflict caused by expanding human settlements near forest areas and increased wildlife movement into rural regions. As part of the rollout, more than 100 specially equipped vehicles, including rapid response units and wildlife ambulances, were deployed. The project focuses on early warning systems, real-time monitoring, quick rescue operations, and rehabilitation efforts to reduce casualties, crop damage, and retaliatory harm to wildlife.

The Government of West Bengal entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with GIZ, the German development agency, and the State Mission for Clean Ganga (SMCG) to prepare comprehensive basin-based masterplans for the Ichhamati and Jalangi river basins. These rivers are significant transboundary distributaries in the Ganga delta, flowing between India and Bangladesh. The initiative aims to ensure sustainable river basin management by addressing ecological degradation, water security challenges, and socio-economic concerns. It also aligns with the objectives of the National Mission for Clean Ganga, while incorporating German expertise in climate resilience, integrated river basin management, and environmental sustainability.

The Higher Education Department of Odisha released a Standard Operating Procedure for Heat Wave Management applicable to colleges and universities across the state as part of its summer preparedness strategy. The directive focuses on safeguarding students, faculty, and staff from extreme heat conditions. Key measures include rescheduling classes and examinations to morning hours, restricting outdoor academic and sports activities during peak afternoon heat, ensuring uninterrupted access to safe drinking water, and maintaining first aid readiness for heat-related illnesses. The initiative reflects proactive governance aimed at minimising health risks during intense summer heatwaves.
