Maharashtra government mandated five major administrative reforms on August 4, 2026, through a Government Resolution to improve public service delivery under the “Zero Bureaucracy” model. The reforms include increasing administrative departments from 33 to 45, limiting decision-making to three administrative tiers, and introducing Government Process Re-engineering (GPR). The state will also use Aadhaar, Maha Samanvay, DigiLocker, and API-based systems to reduce physical documentation. A state-level GPR Approval Committee chaired by the Chief Secretary will supervise implementation. Maharashtra’s Right to Public Services Act, enacted in 2015, aims to ensure transparent and time-bound delivery of notified public services.

Arunachal Pradesh became the first state to have Glaw Lake recognised as its inaugural Ramsar Site, making it India's 101st Ramsar Site. Located within the Kamlang Tiger Reserve and Wildlife Sanctuary in the Eastern Himalayas, Glaw Lake is a natural freshwater wetland known for its exceptional ecological value. The area supports more than 150 tree species and 49 orchid species, along with diverse flora and fauna. Ramsar recognition highlights the importance of conserving wetlands for biodiversity, climate resilience, water security, scientific research, and sustainable livelihoods while strengthening India's commitment to protecting ecologically significant ecosystems.

Andhra Pradesh became home to the newly inaugurated Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport at Bhogapuram. Built under a Public-Private Partnership at a cost of over ₹5,640 crore, it is the state's first greenfield international airport since the 2014 bifurcation. The airport is designed to handle 6 million passengers annually in its first phase and features a 3,800-metre runway capable of accommodating wide-body aircraft. During the visit, development projects worth over ₹17,900 crore were launched, including South India's first assembly and test semiconductor facility approved under the India Semiconductor Mission, further boosting the state's infrastructure and industrial growth.

Andhra Pradesh signed four Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with Australia to strengthen cooperation in clean energy, advanced manufacturing, workforce mobility, and inclusive education. One of the key agreements establishes a Centre of Excellence for Solar Manufacturing at IIT Tirupati in collaboration with the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and the Centre of Excellence for Energy Transition. The partnerships also focus on solar panel recycling, circular economy practices, teacher training, student mental health, and industrial research, supporting the state's economic reconstruction strategy and efforts to attract global investments through international collaboration.

Assam released the first tranche of ₹160 crore as interim flood relief on August 3, 2026, to support over 75,000 households severely affected by the 2026 floods. Each eligible family received ₹15,000 directly in their bank account to help with immediate recovery and rebuilding. The assistance primarily covered the districts of Sivasagar, Charaideo, Jorhat, and Golaghat. The state also announced an additional ₹10,000 for severely affected families in selected districts and integrated subsidies under the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Yojana. The floods affected around 1.36 lakh people, while the annual death toll reached 85.
