Seven Indian-origin Australians have been honoured for their outstanding contributions in the field of medicine, music, education and finance in Australia.In the field of Medicine, Jayashri Kulkarni , The Director of the Monash Alfred Psychiatry Research Centre and Winita Hardikar received Member of the Order of Australia (OAM). Artist Jayshree Ramachandran( Melbourne ) also awarded Member of the Order of Australia .Shashi Kant Kochchar for charitable initiatives and Arun Kumar for the service to the financial planning sector were also awarded.Krishna Dhana Nadimpalli (Canberra) for the service to multi-culturalism and Maha Sinnathamby (Brisbane ) for the contribution to the property industry and the community received the OAM.
