The "VIRAASAT" exhibition, dedicated to celebrating the 10th National Handloom Day, began on August 3, 2024, at Handloom Haat in Janpath, New Delhi. Organized by the National Handloom Development Corporation Ltd (NHDC) under the Ministry of Textiles, this event highlights the rich tradition of handloom and handicrafts in India. The exhibition will run until August 16, 2024, offering various activities, stalls, and workshops to connect handloom weavers and artisans with the market.

On August 2, 2024, the Government of India, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, approved the construction of eight new national high-speed road corridor projects. This initiative is part of a larger effort to modernize and expand India's road network. The approved projects will cover a total of 936 kilometres and involve a significant investment of Rs 50,655 crore. Additionally, these projects are expected to generate around 4.42 crore mandays of employment, providing a significant boost to the job market and local economies.

India hosted the 46th session of the World Heritage Committee Meeting for the first time from 21st to 31st July 2024, at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. This event underscored India’s longstanding involvement with the World Heritage Convention since 1977. The session was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who announced a $1 million grant to the UNESCO World Heritage Centre, supporting capacity building and conservation efforts. Additionally, the meeting resulted in the inscription of 24 new World Heritage Sites, with Moidams from Assam becoming India’s 43rd World Heritage Site.

The three-day event for the Yuga Yugeen Bharat Museum was held in New Delhi from August 1-3, 2024. Organized by the GLAM Division of the Union Ministry of Culture, this event marked a significant moment in India's cultural landscape. The 'State Museum Conclave' brought together key stakeholders, including Union Minister for Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Resident Commissioners of State governments, museum directors, and other cultural experts to discuss the creation of the world's largest museum in New Delhi.

The Electronic Human Resource Management System (e-HRMS) introduced by Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh is designed to benefit government employees by streamlining and enhancing the management of their service matters through digitization. This system facilitates data-driven decisions related to training and personnel management, reduces transaction time and costs, and improves access to digital records, thus providing instant access to service details for all government employees (central and state) for better HR management.
