The sex ratio at birth has improved from 918 in 2014-15 to 930 in 2023-24. This progress is largely attributed to the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Scheme, which was launched in 2015 to address the declining child sex ratio. The scheme promotes gender equality, girl empowerment, and mindset changes towards the value of girls in society. Additionally, girls' secondary school enrollment has increased from 75% to 78% during this period, indicating the positive effects of these efforts.

India has advanced to the 36th position in UNCTAD’s global ‘Readiness for Frontier Technologies’ index, reflecting its significant progress in adopting and integrating emerging technologies. This improvement from the previous 48th rank in 2022 is attributed to advancements in key areas such as research and development, ICT deployment, industrial capacity, and financial access.
