After the approval of the Supreme Court and the Bombay High Court, a pilot project for e-payments of court fee, judicial deposits, fines and penalties is slated to start from the Pune District Court complex in Shivajinagar on December 15. This will be the first time such a facility is being started anywhere in the country. As per the court records, every month about Rs 32 lakh is collected for fees less than Rs 2,000 and transactions above Rs 2,000 amount to Rs 11 crore.
