The Thiru-Onam or Thiruvonam celebrations take place from August 20 to August 31 this year. The Thiru-Onam or Thiruvonam celebrations in Kerala commemorate the return of King Mahabali, also known as Maveli.

Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden has achieved the record of being Asia's largest and most spectacular tulip garden. The garden has 1.5 million blooming flowers. The garden has an enchanting collection of 68 distinctive tulip varieties.

The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) has embarked on a groundbreaking project to construct the ‘Likaru-Mig La-Fukche’ road (a distance of 64 kilometres) in the Demchok sector of Ladakh. This strategic road will establish the world’s highest motorable road, spanning an altitude of approximately 19,400 feet, surpassing the previous record held by Umling La Pass. The initiative was launched on India’s 77th Independence Day, signifying its significance for national security.

The unique “Namoh 108” lotus flower variety has been developed by CSIR-NBRI, with 108 petals. The lotus, flowering from March to December, boasts enriched nutrients and has its genome fully sequenced.

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has partnered with the Jio Institute to unveil a faculty development programme in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. The programme is designed to upskill and reskill faculty members from AICTE-approved institutions in the areas of AI and DS.
