The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) is launching the "Women for Water, Water for Women Campaign" also known as “Jal Diwali” in collaboration with the Ministry's National Urban Livelihood Mission (NULM) and in partnership with the Odisha Urban Academy. The primary aim of the campaign is to provide a platform for the active participation of women in water governance.

PM2.5 are tiny particles that can penetrate deep into the lungs and bloodstream. Once in the bloodstream, PM2.5 can travel to all parts of the body, including the pancreas, where insulin is produced. A study published in the British Medical Journal in 2023 found that a 10μg/m3 difference in annual average PM2.5 was associated with a 9-36% higher risk of developing type 2 diabetes. This study was conducted in India, which has some of the highest levels of air pollution in the world. The link between type 2 diabetes and air pollution is caused due to the long-term exposure of PM2.5.

Crab-plover, the only shorebird that lays eggs in self-excavated burrows on sandbanks, might soon be called a resident species of the Indian subcontinent as their unique breeding sites have been recorded at Great Vedaranyam Swamp near Point Calimere, Tamil Nadu.

The term "Kavach" refers to the Automatic Train Protection (ATP) system developed by the Research Designs and Standards Organisation (RDSO) in India. Kavach is an indigenously developed system that is designed to prevent train accidents caused by human error, such as signal passing at danger (SPAD) and overspeeding.

The Education Minister reported a 37% increase in women's workforce participation in India for the fiscal year 2022-23, marking a significant improvement from the 23% recorded in 2017-18.
