Mizoram has been heavily impacted by Cyclone Remal, with at least 42 people reported dead and 5,938 houses destroyed between March and May. The state's government has requested ₹237 crore from the Centre for rehabilitation and repair efforts. Cyclone Remal's damage includes disruptions to electricity and water supplies due to landslides and floods. The cyclone, which affected West Bengal and Bangladesh as well, has led to significant devastation, making Mizoram a focal point in the disaster response and recovery efforts.
