Mali partnered with India to launch the inaugural India–Mali Forum for the Promotion of Exports in Bamako, marking a significant step in strengthening economic and trade relations between the two countries. The forum was organised under the theme "Reinforcing Trade and Strategic Partnerships" and highlighted the rapid growth in bilateral commerce, which reached $326.61 million in FY 2025–26. Discussions focused on expanding trade through the Duty-Free Tariff Preference (DFTP) Scheme, increasing market access, promoting investment opportunities, and unlocking Mali's export potential in the Indian market while supporting long-term economic cooperation.
