ACME Group signed a long-term agreement worth nearly $1 billion with Japan's Mitsubishi Gas Chemical (MGC) to supply 100,000 tonnes of green methanol annually from its upcoming production facility in Paradip, Odisha. The green methanol will mainly be used as a cleaner marine fuel to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the shipping sector. This partnership strengthens India–Japan cooperation in clean energy, supports India's National Green Hydrogen Mission, promotes sustainable industrial development, and creates a reliable international market for Indian-produced green fuels, contributing to global decarbonization efforts.
