India and France officially adopted the Innovation Roadmap 2030 on June 15, 2026, to deepen cooperation under their Special Global Strategic Partnership. The roadmap provides a framework for collaboration in critical and emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital innovation, research, and startup ecosystems through 2030. Key initiatives include the promotion of Trusted AI, expansion of academic exchanges, and a target for France to welcome 30,000 Indian students by 2030. The partnership also includes the establishment of a Franco-Indian Campus for Aeronautics Training and Careers in Kanpur, enhanced space-sector cooperation, and new research collaborations involving leading Indian institutions such as IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Madras, and IISc Bengaluru.
