India and Canada held a high-level bilateral meeting on May 25, 2026, between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney to strengthen their economic and strategic partnership. Both countries set an ambitious target of achieving $50 billion in bilateral trade by 2030 and agreed to finalise a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA).
