The United States announced on September 6, 2023, that it will establish the first-ever US-ASEAN Center in Washington, D.C. The centre will be a public-private partnership that will facilitate official ASEAN engagements and support further exchange between the United States, ASEAN member states, and their people, businesses, and academic institutions. The centre will be located in the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center. It will be funded by a combination of government and private sector contributions.
