Israel opened a visa application centre in the city of Kolkata for tourists from West Bengal and north eastern states. Visa applications in the jurisdiction under the New Delhi centre would also be accepted here. The visa application categories include : employment, business, tourism, meeting and conferences, students. Israel announced a reduction in visa fees to INR 1,100 from its previous INR 1700 charge from Indians.
