On 11th March 2018, Less Traffic Day was observed in Bengaluru. Less Traffic Day was observed in Bengaluru for the second time on 11th March 2018. The first Less Traffic Day was observed on 11thFebruary 2018. The Less Traffic Day was planned by Karnataka Transport Minister HM Revanna. This has been initiated to reduce air pollution and traffic congestion. Citizens are expected to voluntarily prefer public transport or cycles or walk. On the second Less Traffic Day, the BMTC (Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation) had arranged additional public transport services in heavily populated areas.
