Current Affairs - Important Days - Discussion

September 25 is observed every year as World Lung Day to raise awareness about lung health and respiratory diseases. The 2026 campaign is spearheaded by the Forum of International Respiratory Societies (FIRS) and partner organisations. The theme for World Lung Day 2026 is “A Lifetime of Lung Health,” emphasising the importance of maintaining healthy lungs throughout life. The campaign focuses on lung development, lung growth, preservation of lung health, and lifelong respiratory well-being. It also highlights major risk factors such as air pollution and smoking and promotes prevention, research, healthcare access, and respiratory care.
