The International Day of Police Cooperation is observed on September 7 each year. This date was selected by the United Nations to honour the foundation of INTERPOL’s predecessor, the International Criminal Police Commission (ICPC), which was established on September 7, 1923. The observance, designated through a UN General Assembly resolution adopted in December 2022, also highlights the need for police integrity and collaboration among global law enforcement agencies.
