The International Day of Non-Violence is celebrated on October 2nd each year, the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi. This day is an occasion to disseminate the message of non-violence, including through education and public awareness, and reaffirm the desire for a culture of peace, tolerance, understanding and non-violence. Unlike some other observances, the International Day of Non-Violence does not have a specific theme for 2023.
