In a significant step towards developing Indigenous technology, the Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT) signed an agreement with IIT Roorkee and IIT Mandi to develop 'Cell-Free' 6G Access Points. This collaboration aims to advance the development of 6G technology by eliminating traditional cell boundaries and deploying multiple access points across vast regions. The agreement, supported by the Telecom Technology Development Fund (TTDF) scheme, aims to bridge the digital divide in India by enabling affordable broadband and mobile services.

IIT-Jodhpur has announced that it will offer BTech programs in both Hindi and English for its new batch of students.
