The Agni-Prime Ballistic Missile was recently tested by the Strategic Forces Command and DRDO. Developed by DRDO, it is a two-stage, surface-to-surface, canister-launched, road-mobile medium-range ballistic missile and is part of India's Agni series.

Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) signed a contract with Cochin Shipyard Limited for the supply of six sets of LM2500 gas turbines and GT Auxiliaries, spares, and tools for the Indian Navy's Next Generation Missile Vessel (NGMV) project.

HAL delivered two Dornier 228 aircraft to the Guyana Defence Force, as announced by President Mohamed Irfaan Ali. This delivery is significant for Guyana's military capabilities and highlights international cooperation in defence equipment procurement. Guyana, located in South America, is strengthening its defence infrastructure with modern aircraft acquisitions like the Dornier 228 planes.

The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) is establishing a test centre for weapon systems in Junput village, West Bengal. This initiative aims to alleviate the testing workload at Odisha's Chandipur Integrated Test Range (ITR) and enhance operational capabilities.

India's defence exports surged by 32.5% in FY 2023-24, reaching a record Rs 21,083 crore. This significant growth is attributed to policy reforms, digital solutions, and global acceptance of Indian defence products, marking a milestone achievement for the sector.
