Exercise Samudra Laksamana is a bilateral maritime exercise aimed at strengthening cooperation between India and Malaysia. VSHORADS, standing for Very Short-Range Air Defence System, is a missile system developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). It has undergone successful flight tests, demonstrating its capability to intercept and destroy high-speed unmanned aerial targets. Designed as a Man Portable Air Defence System (MANPAD), VSHORADS incorporates advanced technologies and features, including a miniaturized Reaction Control System (RCS) and integrated avionics, ensuring its effectiveness in neutralizing low-altitude aerial threats at short ranges.

The second India-U.S. Defense Acceleration Ecosystem (INDUS-X) Summit took place in New Delhi, India.
