Adani Group announced a commitment to invest ₹6 trillion in Maharashtra to support the state’s objective of becoming a $1 trillion economy by 2030. The proposed investment will cover strategic sectors including energy, coal gasification, aviation, data centres, urban regeneration and infrastructure. Major plans include the development of Navi Mumbai International Airport, an integrated business and hospitality district near Mumbai airport, and the Dharavi Redevelopment Project. The group also plans pumped-storage hydro projects and a 1,000 MW HVDC transmission link supplying power to Mumbai. Projects worth ₹2.6 trillion are already at various stages of construction in Maharashtra.
