Claudia Dale Goldin is an American economic historian and labor economist who is currently the Henry Lee Professor of Economics at Harvard University. Claudia Goldin won the 2023 Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences "for having advanced our understanding of women's labor market outcomes". Goldin is only the third woman to win the Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences, after Elinor Ostrom in 2009 and Esther Duflo in 2019. Her award is a recognition of her important contributions to the field of economics and her work to promote gender equality.
