Narges Mohammadi, an Iranian human rights activist, was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2023 for her fight against the oppression of women in Iran and her fight to promote human rights and freedom for all. Mohammadi is a co-founder of the Centre for Human Rights Defenders in Iran and has been a vocal critic of the Iranian government's human rights abuses. She has been imprisoned several times for her work, most recently since 2021.
