Sir,
From my experience loose video card causes no display problems, some times CMOS battery also.
Defective RAM causes dead situation. ie; no display.
Defeftive processor also leads to no display issue.
If the HDD is crashed or not connected, the system BIOS will say something like this.
"NO BOOTABLE DEVICE FOUND".

Sir, if your hard drive crashed the display shows and the bios starting menu shows no hard drive on IDE 0 or booting failed.
No video caused by loose VGA card or Defective RAM. If RAM is defective the PC beeps.
