But here hybrid computer uses the modem. Computer not separatly uses the demodulation. Hybrid computer uses modem for converting digital signals into analog signal.

Here it says in concern with a "hybrid computer" what is used. Modem is the correct answer to it.

The correct answer is modulator, because that's is the point in which conversion take place. A Modem is simply a device that modulate and demodulate signals.

The question is referring to a device that performs a Modulation function ( converting analog signals to digital signals) -----> so the device is a modem. The Given answer is correct.

You can use the modem for both modulation and demodulation, you can't use demodulator as a device. The modem is a device demodulator is a function.

Modem is derived fro the word modulator and de-modulator, so why is (a) not correct too if (c) is correct?
