Option (C) is write answer.
1. Reservoir capacity = 36 MM^3.
2. Dead storage capacity is 25% of reservoir capacity in a full life time of reservoir = 0.25 x 36 = 9 MM^3.
3. Reservoir silting period = 36/0.15 = 240 years.
4. Dead storage silting period = 09/0.15 = 60 years.

Does it mean that the dead storage provided will not be used calculation?

Total storage of 36 million cm.
So, 36/0.15 = 240 yr.
Hence 240/4 = 60 yr for dead storage.
Bcause dead storage is 1/4th of total.
So, 36/0.15 = 240 yr.
Hence 240/4 = 60 yr for dead storage.
Bcause dead storage is 1/4th of total.
