Q=A*V.
We know that;
velocity @ depth 2m = 0.7m/s and,
@ depth 8m = 0.3m/s.
discharge
@ depth 2m, Q=A*V.
=(10*1)*0.7 A=L*B=10*1(UNIT WIDTH),
=7 mt cube/sec.
At depth 8m, Q=A*V.
=(10*1)*0.3 A=L*B=10*1(UNIT WIDTH),
=3 mt cube/sec.
Average of Q=7+3/2,
=10/2,
=5 mt cube/sec.

Velocities by current meter=0.7 and 0.3m.
Taking average velocity=0.7+0.3/2=0.5m/s.
Now,
We know that,
Q=Area x velocity,
Here velocity= average velocity =0.5m/s,
Area = depth x breadth of channel,
Taking width as b=1m.
Area= 10 x 1=10metre square.
Now Discharge=10 x 0.5=5 cubic metre/sec.
We know that discharge intensity or discharge per unit width =Q/b =5/1= 5ans.
Hope helped.

(0.7+0.3)/2=0.5.
0.5*10=5.
0.5*10=5.
