How? Can you give solution please?

Vs in 1st sample = .5V.
Vs in 2nd sample = .33V.

Vv = V - Vs = 1 -(.5 + .33).
Thus n = Vv/V = .166.

Thanks @ Mayank.

@Mayank.

Vv = 1 - 0.83 = 0.17
n = Vv/V.
n = 0.17/1 as V is given 1.
So correct answer is 17%.

@Mukesh.

How do you get 0.83?

Sum of vol of solids .5+.33 = .83

How you get Vs?

Here Vs = Vtotal/(1+e).
