Shrunk scale = New/old = 14.5/15.

Shrunk factor = shrunk scale * original scale = 14.5/15 *1/10 = 1/10.34.

Shrunk scale = original length * shrunk factor.
Shrunk factor = shrunk length/original length = 14.5/15.
Now Shrunk sclae = 15 * 14.5/100 = 1034.48cm.
= 1034.48/100 = 10.34m.

SHRUNK SCALE = SF * OS.

SF = SL/OL = 14.5CM/15CM.

SS = SF * OS = (14.5/15)*(1/1000) = 1/(15000/14.5) = 1/1034.48CM.
In m it's 10.34.

In the problem has clearly said, it's problem of shrinkage:

So,

Shrinkage factor = 14.5÷15 = 0.966
Shrinkage scale = Shrinkage factor * original scale = 0.966 * 1/10 = 1/10 ÷ 0.966 = 1/10.35.
Shrinkage scale = 10.35 m.
