Shrinkage limit(Ws)=void ratio/specific gravity =e/G.
0.50/2.70 = 0.185.
= 0.185 * 100= 18.51%.
0.50/2.70 = 0.185.
= 0.185 * 100= 18.51%.

Se = WG.
(S= 1 at Shrinkage Limit.)
1*0.5=W*2.7.
W=0.5/2.7,
i.e. W=18.5.
(Hint: W is related as shrinkage limit also depends on the water content.)
