Correct answer is 0.108 but we take +0.11.

h^2/2l = 1.8 * 1.8/15 * 2 =3.24/30 = 0.108 = 0.11.

What is cumulative?

Sanjeev said:   9 years ago
@Saurabh.

An error that increases with the size of the sample revealing it.

Your are right @Satya.

That is 1.8^2/(2*15) = 0.108~0.11.

Cumulative (systematic) error may b +'ve or -ve.

Abhishek Anand said:   9 years ago
Slop error always +'ve and correction always equal to= - (h*h) /2L.

If higher powers neglected otherwise correction increases by (h^4/8L^3).

What is the difference b/w cumulative and compensating?

Siddhartha said:   8 years ago
For positive errors, corrections will be negative and for negative errors, corrections will be positive.
