The gravitational force is always directed towards the centre of the earth and the plumb line is known as vertical line. The line perpendicular to vertical is horizontal line.

Also could be level Line or horizontal line but the basic difference is that horizontal line is perpendicular to vertical line only at one point where as level line is perpendicular at all the points.

Level line and horizontal line are same for shorter lengths only. In this case, the answer is correct.

Horizontal line must be answer because normal to plumber line is horizontal not level line.
