In book regarding to author NEGI, max shear force occurs at the edge of the LOAD.

He doesn't told it iccurs at edge of d GRILLAGE BEAM. May the max shear force will be at the edge of the LOAD TRANSFERRED BY THE COLUMN TO THE GRILLAGE BEAM.

If any one know the answer with correct explanation please post here.

The maximum shear force occurs at the edge of the base plate.

And maximum bending moment occurs at the centre of beam ya center of the base plate.

Edge of base plate = w/2L (L-l).

L=length of beam, l= length of base plate/column.
