Slenderness ratio = r/L.
So, 5/4 -> 5*100=500 & 4 m*1000=4000 mm,
Then, 500/4000 = 1/8.
= 1/8 Means 80 as it is the ratio..

No specific unit is given for radius of gyration then how can you convert the unit of length from meters to centimeters?

No, your formula is not correct @Dinesh.
As it should be.
Slenderness ratio=Eff Length/Least r.
As it should be.
Slenderness ratio=Eff Length/Least r.

It seems the gyration radius should be in the unit of cm r=50mm You are correct @Laxman.

As per the option, the only possible conversion is from 4m = 400cm.

As per formula, Slenderness ratio = r/l.
So how the answer is 80?
So how the answer is 80?

Slenderness ratio = L/r.
= 4m/5cm = 400cm/5cm.
= 80cm.
= 4m/5cm = 400cm/5cm.
= 80cm.

4 * 100 = 4000mm, 5cm = 500,4000/500 = 80.

400/5 = 80, l/r = slenderness ratio.
