You may take 6.05^t or 6.01^t or 6.04^t.

After getting the answer you will consider the nearest value of nominal diameter.

First take square in both sides for easy calculation then convert units you will get the answer.

If the thickness of the plate is in mm then the formula is 6.05√t and if the thickness is specified in cm then convert thickness mm to cm and this thickness is in the root.

So if we took root for this and multiple by 6.05 the we will get 1.91√t.
