Actually, it is not air content it is percentage air void.
na= n*ac.
& ac= 1-Sr.
na= n*ac.
& ac= 1-Sr.

Actually,
ac + sr = 1.
Hence, ac = 1 - sr.
But here, if we resolve the eq in the ans, we will get;
ac = n(1-sr).
Is this valid?

It is not air content on the LHS, it is a percentage of air voids.
