The alkalinity of water is 356 mg/l.

Is this correct for construction grade of concrete is M40 & M30.

PH value for construction purpose should not be less than 6 accordingly to IS:456:2000 as it induces corrosion in reinforcement.

Water which is fit for drinking is also fit for concrete. pH value should not be less than 6. It should be preferably around 7 i.e. neutral.

As the concrete is alkaline so limit of alkalinity is not mentioned in IS. But, it is better if it is in the range of 6.5 to 8.5.
