Post-tensioning is very economical and hence it is used in construction long span overbridge. And it can support load effectively in all section.

As it it economical for large span also it reduces dead load of structure thereby reduces stress.

(c) is the correct one. Because for larger span bridge post-tensioning system is widely used.
