@Kajal.

Sarda Type Fall is a fall with a raised crest. Below the fall suitable device is provided for dissipating excess energy of falling water. This type of falls were constructed on the Sarda canal in Uttar Pradesh and hence the name. As the crest of the fall is raised silting of the upstream canal is possible.

In SARDA type fall :

a) For rectangular crest, discharge should be less than or equal to 14 cumecs.
b) For trapezoidal crest, discharge should be more than 14 cumecs.

For a discharge 4m^3/s in Sarda type fall rectangular crest is used.

The trapezoidal crest is used for discharge over 14M^3/s.

The answer should be " 4 cumecs".

14 cumecs is for Trapezoidal crest.
