The continuity equation applies to all fluids, compressible and incompressible flow, Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids.

Option D discusses about velocity across cross section not along the length.
It should be uniform (all particles carrying same velocities) across cross section selected, but may differ from cross section to cross section (means same within the cross section).
