According to the question; fluids means not only liquid but also gases. And liquid also different types. So different Types of fluids get attracted called adhesive property.

Here the question asked about fluid not liquid.
Fluid = gases + liquid.
So, the Molecules of fluids get attracted due to adhesion.
Because of two different things gas and liquid.
So, the given answer is correct.

@All.
Here is the explanation.
If the same molecules asked then the answer is cohesion.
If a different molecule is asked then the answer is adhesion.

Answer C is correct because similar molecules gets attract cohesion.
But the question says fluids molecule (fluids means Liquid and gases) its different molecules.

Cohesion is the right answer.
Because attraction between particles is called cohesion.
The repulsion between particles is adhesion.
Because attraction between particles is called cohesion.
The repulsion between particles is adhesion.

As for the definitions, the tendency of two or more different molecules to bond with each other is known as Adhesion, whereas the force of attraction between the same molecules is known as Cohesion.

Cohesion- attractive force between similar bodies. (Here water molecules are similar bodies).
Adhesion- attractive force between two different bodies (water attached to the glass).
And, mercury in the glass does not wet it or doesn't wet when kept on the table because of very strong cohesive force between mercury molecules there is no adhesive force between mercury molecules and glass i.e. why it didn't wet it.

According to the question it says molecule of fluids (which is plural) that means more than one fluid.
Cohesion: The attraction between a molecule of a fluid (single fluid) ie, singular.
Adhesion: Attraction between different molecules (more than one fluid or fluid to container) ie, plural.
So, the answer is ADHESION.

Adhesion: Attraction between different molecules (more than one fluid or fluid to container) ie, plural.
So, the answer is ADHESION.

It is Adhesion because it is fluids. In the same fluid, it is cohesion.
The answer is C.
The answer is C.
